Rally for Donald Lewis: Immediate Assistance
Hello Friends! Donald Lewis, Jr. your favorite actor, DJ, storyteller, theater teacher and all-around-naturally-N’Awlins icon needs our help!
Over the past few months, Donald has suffered several mini-strokes. He is currenly recovering in rehab, but these strokes went undetected for a while and have created multiple health challenges for Donald. He will be unable to work for some time, and will be moving into new housing more suitable to his recovery.
This is an immediate situation, and we need your help now. Your donations will go towards medical expenses, preparing his new home for safe and comfortable living and life needs to support Donald while he can’t work.
Our arts community is everything, and Donald is an integral part of it – from his fabulous stage performances, to his iconic voice on WWOZ, to rocking the kids tent at Jazz Fest – Donald is always smiling and generous of spirit everywhere he lands.
